With membership approval at the 2010 AGM, the Lake Ontario 300 Solo Challenge will return for a second year as a full-fledged membership granting challenge. Premiering in 2008 was the longest by far (at nearly 1,200 statute miles), freshwater singlehanded race in the world - the Super Mac and Back Solo Challenges. They feature a start in either Chicago or Port Huron, sail to the opposite starting point (Chicago or Port Huron), and then return via the same course to the original starting point. Whether you sail a go-fast multi or the proverbial slow boat to China, we have the venue that will enhance your singlehanded abilities, and at the same time provide the satisfaction and thrill that few sailors will ever experience.
